The Future of Healthcare 

This weekly podcast is designed to educate and inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders by interviewing professionals on the cutting edge of the medical field, and getting their thoughts on what the future could hold based on their knowledge and experiences. Topics range from health and wellness to technology and healthcare policy. Some of the most recent podcasts focus on improving healthcare through transparency, how robots and machine learning are changing healthcare, and how virtual reality is revolutionizing surgery.

Digital Health Today

This podcast features different guests each time; individuals from around the world who are advancing, developing, designing, applying, and funding ways to improve healthcare. With a mission to “share knowledge, stories, and insights from the most inspiring and passionate experts in the rapidly developing field of digital health,” Digital Health Today aims to improve the physical and mental well-being of physicians and their patients. Podcasts tend to run about 30 minutes, with recent topics including artificial intelligence, mental health, implantable technology, preventative care, and much more.

ACEP Frontline

Hosted by Dr. Ryan Stanton, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, or FACEP, this blog features in-depth conversations on current topics in emergency medicine and critical care. There are often multiple broadcasts per week, each with a different healthcare leader. Recent podcasts have focused on everything from mitigating injury from gun violence to dangerous and deadly rashes. Based on the guest and the direction the conversation takes, podcasts can range anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.


SurgeonMasters is a community of medical professionals who are dedicated to improving surgeons’ well-being, practice performance, and patient outcomes. The podcast is hosted by Dr. Jeff Smith, an orthopedic trauma surgeon, physician coach, and motivational speaker. Dr. Jeff assists individual surgeons, organizations, groups, and training programs with “managing burnout, creating wellness, growing, and achieving their goals.” His podcast also focuses on life improvement strategies for people in the healthcare field. It’s published twice per month, and almost all episodes are 10 minutes or less, making it perfect for on-the-go listening.

The OrthoPodcast

Described as “the only podcast made for orthopods, by orthopods,” The OrthoPodcast provides weekly updates in the field of orthopedics—in an easily-digestible 20 minutes or less. Episodes feature summaries of recent advances in orthopedic surgery with relevant commentary, and each has been written and reviewed by board-certified Orthopedic Surgeons to guarantee you’re getting current and factual information.
