Have you made plans to attend the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) annual meeting in Las Vegas? The event will be held at the Venetian/Sands Expo March 12-16, with exhibits being featured March 13-15.
This year, the AAOS is expecting over 14,000 domestic and international orthopaedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to be in attendance, with over 700 companies exhibiting their products and services.
About the AAOS
Founded in 1933, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is the world’s premier provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and others in the healthcare field. Along with its world-renowned annual meeting, the AAOS holds multiple Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses around the country and at the Orthopaedic Learning Center. Not content to simply teach but wanting to also engage in health policy and advocacy activities on behalf of orthopaedic patients and surgeons, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons was next founded by the Academy’s Board of Directors in 1997.
On the AAOS website, you can register to attend the annual meeting, browse preliminary programs, view a list of sessions to find those that are focused on your area of expertise, and learn how to plan and promote an exhibit (you can also get your event listed on the AAOS’s myAcademy App).
BandGrip Inc. at AAOS
BandGrip Inc. is excited to make its first AAOS annual meeting debut this year. Our premier product, BandGrip Micro-Anchor Skin Closures, is an alternative to staples, stitches, and adhesives, saving surgeons’ time in the OR and keeping patients happy. Designed for speed and ease of use, BandGrip is a 3.5”x1.5” bandage offering a non-invasive method of wound closure (it can also be tiled for large incisions). It uses unique micro-anchors that grip the skin gently and securely to pull wound edges together and reduce wound closure time by more than 30%. In addition, scarring is less pronounced, leaving patients more satisfied with the results of their procedure. It’s also a time-saver; the bandage can be applied by a wide range of healthcare professionals without the involvement of the orthopaedic surgeon or a return visit.
But you don’t have to just take our word for it. Experience BandGrip for yourself and see the difference it makes by pre-registering today for a BandGrip demo experience at AAOS. You can also make a difference—when you come by our booth, we’ll make a donation to Mercy Ships, a nonprofit organization operating a fleet of state-of-the-art hospital ships to bring care to regions where clean water, electricity, medical facilities, and personnel is limited or nonexistent.
We’ll be at Booth #6846, and we look forward to seeing you there!
