This year, the 25th Annual Scientific Assembly of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) will be held in Las Vegas—and BandGrip Inc. will be there at Booth # 220! The assembly will be held at Caesars Palace March 9-13. Pre-conference activities begin on Saturday, March 9 and the morning of Sunday, March 10. The Scientific Assembly then kicks off with Opening Remarks the afternoon of Sunday, March 10 and concludes on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
About the AAEM
A nonprofit established in 1993, the AAEM’s goal is to “promote fair and equitable practice environments necessary to allow emergency physicians to deliver the highest quality of patient care.” Today, the AAEM has more than 8,000 members and remains committed to championing the emergency physician.
Although the AAEM officially formed 25 years ago, the organization has a rich history dating back to the 1960s, which you can read about on the AAEM website.
AAEM19 Scientific Assembly Details
Although the Scientific Assembly is being held March 9-13, attendees can choose to arrive early and attend pre-conference courses beginning March 7. These courses allow healthcare professionals to increase their total Continuing Medical Education credits and receive specialized instruction from experts in the field.
Once the Scientific Assembly begins, attendees will hear from dozens of speakers on a variety of topics. Many of these talks are accomplished through
Breve Dulce—a fast-paced series of lectures delivering a high-level overview in less than seven minutes that can be put to use immediately. This innovative learning technique was formerly called a Pecha Kucha (PK) session, and was the first of their kind at a major emergency medicine conference. Today, they are an attendee favorite! In addition to Breve Dulce, nine 30-minute small group clinics will also be held, providing the opportunity to attend a more personal and hands-on education session.
Pre-Register to See New BandGrip Micro-Anchor Skin Closure Technology
BandGrip Micro-Anchor Skin Closure, an alternative to staples, stitches, and adhesives, is designed for speed and ease of use. It's a 3.5”x1.5” bandage offering a non-invasive method of wound closure (it can also be tiled for large incisions). BandGrip uses unique micro-anchors that grip the skin gently and securely to pull wound edges together and reduce wound closure time by more than 30%. In addition, scarring is less pronounced, leaving patients more satisfied with the results of their procedure. It’s also a time-saver; the bandage can be applied by a wide range of healthcare professionals without the need for a return visit for removal.
But you don’t have to just take our word for it. Experience BandGrip for yourself and see the difference it makes by pre-registering today for a BandGrip demo experience at AAOS. You can also make a difference—when you come by our booth, we’ll make a donation to Mercy Ships, a nonprofit organization operating a fleet of state-of-the-art hospital ships to bring care to regions where clean water, electricity, medical facilities, and personnel is limited or nonexistent.
We’ll be at Booth #220, and we look forward to seeing you there!
